Coffee Compadre is a company with a very driven owner. Maarten is involved, thinks along, and knows about coffee. We use the coffee roaster and are very satisfied: the roasting is consistent, easy to adjust, and often right on point with the remote control. If you want to make adjustments afterward, it’s a piece of cake. I would definitely recommend Coffee Compadre as a partner in coffee.

Home roaster
I am currently using the roaster and green coffee beans from Coffee Compadre. Roasting is super simple! The first time I did use the manual. Depending on the bean and personal taste, you can play around with the roasting process a bit. It’s a matter of trying and tasting. The green coffee beans have a long shelf life, and since you roast a new batch each time, I always have fresh coffee for 1 to 2 weeks. In short, very satisfied and I hope to roast (and drink) lots more fresh coffee! 😊o.

From Farm to Table: Your Coffee's Journey

COFFEE FARM

Your coffee's story begins in the rich highlands of Ethiopia, the misty mountains of Colombia, or the volcanic soils of Central-America. Here, skilled farmers, often from generations-old family operations, cultivate coffee plants with care.

HARVEST: HANDPICKED PERFECTION

When cherries reach their peak ripeness, signaled by a deep red or vibrant yellow colour, the farmers and their teams handpick each one. This thorough process ensures only the finest, most flavorful cherries are chosen—a stark contrast to industrial harvesting. Your commitment to these farmers supports this labor-intensive, quality-focused approach.

YOU SELECT YOUR BEANS!

Explore a world of flavors by selecting your green coffee beans, directly sourced from farmers for unparalleled quality and character.

YOU ROAST!

Now, the magic happens. With your electric roaster, you become an alchemist, using heat to unlock the beans' hidden potential. Light roasts preserve the bean's unique origin flavors—perhaps an Ethiopian's jasmine notes or a Costa Rican cocoa hints. Darker roasts reveal deep, smoky tones. Each profile is a reflection of your roast and the farmer's hard work.

YOU GRIND!

You transform the beans into grounds. The size of each particle is under your control—finer for espresso's intensity, coarser for a French press's robustness. This precision ensures optimal extraction.

YOU SERVE AND SURPRISE!

A Story in every cup. As your guests gather, you brew the coffee using their preferred method—pour-over, espresso or serve coffee like the Ticos (Costarricense) do. A traditional coffee ritual from the land famous for its exceptional specialty coffees. The aromas fill the room, hinting at the experience to come. You serve each cup with a story—about the farmer who grew these beans, the region's coffee heritage, and your roasting experiments.
