Seeds of passion

During an Erasmus exchange program in Seinäjoki, Finland—a country with the world's highest coffee consumption per capita—it made me notice that we don't know much about how coffee is grown.

2005
Costa Rica

During my internship in Costa Rica, I studied specialty coffee cultivation and processing. I witnessed the dedication of coffee producers and their passionate approach to growing and processing high end coffee beans. It was during this time that my passion for the world of coffee was ignited, setting the foundation for my professional journey in this field.

2006
Understanding the Industry

Working a few years in big coffee roasting companies in Europe helped me understand how coffee is sold and distributed after it leaves the farms.
