Frequently asked questions

It’s crucial to follow the recommended bean quantity for optimal results. For automatic roasting, the ideal bean quantity is 400g, and it should not be less than 350g.

The quality of your green beans directly impacts your roasting success. To achieve the best results:

  1. Start with excellence: carefully select high-quality beans.
  2. Pre-roast inspection: sort through your beans before roasting to remove any damaged beans.
  3. Roast with confidence: quality beans reduce the risk of jamming and ensure more consistent results.
  4. Post-roast check: after roasting, inspect your beans once more, removing any that seem inferior.

By focusing on bean quality at every stage, you’ll protect your good beans from burning, avoid equipment issues, and ultimately create a superior cup of coffee.

For safe and effective roasting:

  1. Ensure your bean amount corresponds to the appropriate heat setting.
  2. Manual roasting guidelines:
    • minimum bean quantity: 300g
    • recommended heat range: 55-70%
  3. Avoid maximum power: never use 100% power as it can lead to:
    • Uneven roasting
    • Potential activation of safety mechanisms (e.g., temperature overshooting protection)

Following these guidelines will help you achieve consistent, high-quality roasts while maintaining the safety and longevity of your equipment.

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your roaster:

  1. Clean the smoke exhaust fan cover:
    • Frequency: Approximately once a month or after 15 roast cycles.
    • Process:
      a. Remove the cover (as displayed in manual)
      b. Clean the cover thoroughly
      c. Use water to clean the smoke pipe
  2. Post-roast cooling:
    • After manual roasting, always use the “COL” function
    • This activates the smoke exhaust fan, properly cooling down the roaster

By following these simple steps, you’ll keep your roaster in top condition, ensuring consistent, high-quality roasts and extending the life of your equipment.

From pre-heating till cooling it takes approximately 15 minutes. The time of roast depends on the ambient temperature, green bean screen size, density and the batch weight.

It is possible to start a second batch simultaneously when the first batch is cooling.
